Intact ancient forests once covered the Earth. Home to around two-thirds of all plant and animal species found on land, as well as millions of people who depend on them for their survival, our remaining ancient forests still form some of the most diverse ecosystems known to science and are vitally important to the health of our planet, especially when it comes to regulating the climate.

But ancient forests around the world are under attack, and we need your help to protect what forests remain.


Kleercut activists lock down Kleenex facility in Fullerton, CA

Greenpeace's Kleercut campaigners continued their efforts to stop Kimberly-Clark from destroying ancient forests to make its disposable products today by locking down a Kleenex factory in Fullerton, CA. Activists blockaded the entrance to the facility by chaining themselves to toilets with trees protruding from them, while a 40-foot banner that read "Stop flushing forests" was unfurled on Fullerton’s busy Orangethorpe Blvd.

Landmark Amazon soy moratorium extended

We've received good news about the ongoing campaign to protect the Amazon rainforest: the landmark two year old "soya moratorium", brought about after we demonstrated that the rainforest was being cleared to make way for soya farming, has been extended for another year.

New Milford, CT Kleenex Facility Locked Down

Today activists decided to show how concerned they are with K-C’s ancient forest destruction for Kleenex, Scott and Cottonelle brands that are used once and then flushed. Three activists launched a blockade of the New Milford, CT Kimberly-Clark facility that produces 40% of the American supply of Kleenex and Scott products.
